This Just In: Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette

I have never been an eyeshadow girl. I’ve always been more attracted to other beauty products especially face products. When I edited my collection early this year, I realised I accumulated a lot of face products – bronzers, blushers, highlighters, etc. and I promised I would not buy a bronzer/blusher/highlighter for the next year — so now I’ve found something else to accumulate! I don’t have a lot of eyeshadows and I’ve missed out on a lot of great eyeshadow palettes that I now have to make up for it. Ha ha ha – it’s addiction, I tell you – take one thing away and another thing will replace it.

Anyway, numero uno on my list was the Tartelette palette. I first saw this online early this year and was immediately attracted to it because it’s all matte. It’s rare to find an all-matte eyeshadow palette so I knew I had to get it.

The problem is, Tarte is not readily available here in Manila so I had to scout online stores. I had to wait a while to get this because it was sold out on all of the online stores I follow. I had to play the waiting game and as soon as I saw Stuff In Style post a photo that this was available, I messaged her immediately, submitted my order form and sent my payment. I couldn’t be happier with her service because she responded promptly and shipped my order ASAP that the next day, it was already delivered to me.

The Tartelette’s packaging is very very nice. The case is solid and sturdy and feels like it would be good to travel with. The cover has a nice purple gradient with the palette name printed on it. It also comes with a huge mirror that you can use to do your entire face with – not just your eyes. I like that they chose metallic gold for the packaging because it makes it look chic and classy but beware, it is a fingerprint magnet!

Color-wise, it’s a pretty versatile palette – and that’s what I love about it. You can use it day or night, for work or for play. It’s the kind of palette that can work on it’s own or as a supplement to your other palettes that does not have a lot of mattes (IE the Naked palettes).

I am just happy to finally have this palette after months of waiting. The packaging is really nice, the colours are beautiful – although I can’t tell you what my thoughts are since I haven’t swatched them yet. I will definitely play around with this more and let you know what I think! 🙂

If you are interested in purchasing this palette, I got mine from Stuff In Style (@stuffinstyle on Instagram).

Find me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, I would love to hear from you!
