Last May 27, Watson’s had their 50% off hair color promo. I originally didn’t have any plans of going to Watson’s to take advantage of the sale, but my sister and I found ourselves in MOA after spending most of the day dealing with work stuff, so I thought, “hey, why not check it out?”. Bad idea, because I walked away with not just one, not two, not even three but 6 boxes of hair color. Yes, you read that right, SIX!
The first one that I picked up was Burgundy Brown from Revlon’s Luminista range (regular price Php425). I’ve been wanting purple-y red hair for a while so I think this was the perfect “adult” and “professional” purple-y red shade. I have mid-length hair so I got two boxes to make sure my entire head of hair was colored properly. There was another purple-y/pink-y brown from a Korean brand but I have used Korean brands in the past and wanted to try a Western brand to see how they compare.
Then, of course because I got a somewhat out of the box color, I had to get a more “safe” option in case I hated the Burgundy Brown, so I also got a Dark Brown shade, this time from Revlon’s Buttercream range (regular price Php450). I also got two boxes of these to make sure I don’t end up with two tone hair ala Cruella DeVille LOL!
But that doesn’t end there… As I was walking up to the till to pay for my purchases, I saw the L’oreal display and the box where the model was sporting beautiful copper hair jumped out at me. I like warm browns so I obviously had to grab two of the L’oreal Excellence Fashion hair color in the shade Intense Copper Brown (regular price Php495) as well.
All in all, I paid Php1370 for all six hair colors instead of Php2740. YASSS! I love a good deal and this was the perfect opportunity to stock up on hair colors. I used the Burgundy Brown from Revlon already and because my hair is very dark, it isn’t very noticeable and my hair doesn’t look the same as the photo on the box but I like it! To be honest though, I’ve forgotten how drying the hair coloring process is! I have been using the Pantene 3-minute Hair Miracle as an everyday treatment to make sure my hair recovers from the hair coloring process and it seems to be working!
I hope Watson’s stage another 50% off on hair colors soon because I still really want to try that Korean brand pinky/purpley hair color! HAHAHA! Did you take advantage of the sale too? What did you get?
