This Just In: My New Make Up Revolution Toys

One of the brands that’s become one of my favorites is Make Up Revolution. I first found out about it sometime in May or June when I saw the I Heart Chocolate palette on Instagram. As you know, I am a sucker for packaging so I looked for the brand from online stores here in the Philippines. It’s not locally available from malls or beauty stores so even though I’ve stopped buying from online stores, I had to see the palette for myself and test it.

After the I Heart Chocolate experience, I knew I had to try other things from the brand.
Make Up Revolution is known for making dupes of products from other more expensive US brands for less than half the price. When I saw that BeautyShopPH (my go-to online store for UK make up brands) was doing a pre-order, I took advantage and ordered the highlighter from the baked heart cheek product series – the Goddess of Love. Jean (the seller) also told me about the Radiance highlighter palette that is supposed to be a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Powder Palette. I have been eyeing the Hourglass palette for quite a while now but have been seeing mixed reviews so I’ve been hesitant to purchase it because it is not cheap! Good thing Make Up Revolution had a dupe so I can test to see if I like it and if I do, I just might splurge on the Hourglass one.
I think that’s one of the biggest draws of Make Up Revolution. You can try a cheaper version before splurging on the real thing. Yeah, I know, the quality is not the same but as far as colors and product usage goes, you can determine if what you want (AKA the Hourglass Palette) is worth investing in, if it’s something that’s good to have but not really an essential, or if its something that will end up in your beauty box, forgotten after a couple of weeks. I never buy fakes, but dupes, I am okay with!
If you are interested in Make Up Revolution products, contact Jean of BeautyShopPH via her Instagram. She responds quickly, and ships fast too! I am generally wary of purchasing from online stores, but this is the third time I’ve ordered from Jean. Goes to show how much I trust her if I keep coming back to her to buy stuff, right? She has on hand items and she does pre-orders regularly so in the event that the item you like is not available on hand, you can still get it on her next pre-order.

Make Up Revolution Goddess of Love, PHP450.00, Make Up Revolution Highlighter Palette, PHP620.00, Shipping Fee (within Metro Manila) PHP105.00.

  1. Ohh I’ve been hearing a lot from this brand. The palette reminds me that of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders :)
