I was never a big fan of lip and cheek tints. I remember back in high school, a lot of the girls in my school went gaga over The Body Shop’s lip and cheek tint. My friends had it, or if not The Body Shop’s lip and cheek tint, they would have some form or version of it from another brand. I never really got into it because no matter how hard I try, it just never seemed to show up on me. Granted, I had darker skin then because I used to play Soccer and I would be playing underneath the heat of the sun so maybe that’s why it wouldn’t show up on my skin, but since then, I never really explored the world of lip and cheek tints.
That’s why when I received a package from Sooper Beaute, I wasn’t too excited with the Lip and Cheek Rollys. Out of all the things I received, I have to be honest that these were the items I was least enthusiastic about but in the interest of testing new things and seeing if they are worth getting, I decided to try it. First swatch on my arm, I was impressed! All five shades are very pigmented, easy to blend and didn’t disappear after one minute. It didn’t smell like anything and the colors were very nice and perfectly suitable for morena and fair skin alike. I was impressed by the arm swatch, but the true test would be when I try it on my face.

I normally prefer powder blushes because I have better control over it, but these were surprisingly easy to use. The roll-on applicator made it very easy to apply. I had already powdered and I wanted to see if the tints would cause my make up to cake but it blended really nicely. I used a beauty sponge to spread the product but you can definitely use your fingers too (you just have to deal with red/orange/pink fingertips after haha). I also tried it on my lips and I received many compliments! It looked natural and as long as you don’t have dry patches on your lips, these blend beautifully. I also didn’t have to panic or rush to blend the tints after putting it on — in fact I would suggest that you let it sit for a few seconds before spreading it out to get maximum pigment on your skin/lips. Just a few seconds, okay? Leave it on for too long and you’ll have a difficult time blending out the lines left by the roll-on applicator
Suffice to say, I am now a Sooper Beaute Lip and Cheek Rolly convert! It’s very easy to use with it’s roll-on packaging, they have a range of colors that would fit most Asian skin tones nicely. I like that I can use this on days when I don’t have enough time to get ready or when I don’t want to fuss too much about my make up. I just put on a bit of powder, pop this on my cheek and my lips and I am good to go! I also love that the brand is 100% Filipino, infused with natural ingredients and cruelty-free to boot!
My favorite shades are Blushing and Bloody Red. Both are perfect for my NC30-NC35 skin and gives me the most natural-looking flush on the cheeks and a nice rosy pout. These normally go for PHP150 each, but I just checked the Sooper Beaute website and they are currently on sale at PHP120. Go check them out now and let me know what you think!
