Products with Unique and Pretty Packaging

If you know me, you know I love pretty packaging. There have been so many times where I was suckered into purchasing something because I was intrigued by the packaging, or because I found the packaging too cute to leave (I am looking at you, Korean Beauty products). I’ve always been like that – I am like a magpie who is always attracted to shiny, pretty things. HAHA.

Make Up Revolution, Charlotte Tilbury, Guerlain, Elizabeth Arden, Smashbox, Hourglass, Urban Decay, Estee Lauder, Apieu, Tony Moly, Dior, Chanel

Here are just a few products with very pretty packaging that I have. I used to buy stuff just because of the packaging (like the Tony Moly So Cool Eyestick), even though I don’t really like the product it comes with but I think I’ve become better at not being suckered into buying something just ‘cos it has unique/cute/nice packaging.

Apieu Airfit Cushion – I love the beautiful light teal color with a duo chrome overlay. I don’t know why, but it makes me think mermaids whenever I look at this. I’ve been using this for about two days now and I’ll share my thoughts about the product when I’ve tested it enough.

Tony Moly So Cool Eye Stick – My sister loves pandas, and this one I got mostly because I knew she would love it (and how much I would love teasing her haha!) The product itself is meh – it doesnt do much for me.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light -The packaging of this one is simple and elegant. I love the color, and how it feels very sturdy – not plasticky at all! As for the powder, it’s awesome. It’s a finishing powder, so you use it after you’ve done the rest of your make up, and it gives you a nice, subtle glow. Even folks who don’t like powder would like this, I think, because it doesn’t make your face look flat and overly matte.

Diorblush in 939 Rosebud – Definitely my favorite product packaging ever. Everything about this to me is chic from the shade of blue they chose to the hidden CD logo which I thought was a nice touch. The blush itself is gorgeous and I find myself reaching for this more than the other blushers I own. It’s a beautiful rosey pink and is perfect for everyday!

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Radiance Blush in Sunblush and Blushing Pink – This is a b*tch to take photos of because of the mirrored surface but it is so beautiful! I love the mix of silver and gold, and that nice red door logo is the perfect finishing touch. The product is really nice too – I have Sunblush and Blushing Pink. Sunblush is more subtle and would look lovely on someone with tanned skin. Blushing Pink on the other hand gives off a pretty youthful glow.

Make Up Revolution Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighter – It’s not the chicest packaging, but it’s cute! It’s very similar to Too Faced heart boxed blushers, but so much cheaper. I can’t really say much about the highlighter though because I haven’t used this yet (whoops).

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow – Another favorite, definitely in my top 3. The packaging is very solid, and makes me think “Old Hollywood” whenever I use it. Same with the Charlotte Tilbury KISSING Lipstick in Bitch Perfect. It has the same rose gold/copper metallic casing, and I have to say that out of all the lipsticks I own, the packaging of this one feels the most sturdy.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in F-Bomb – This one has a very nice gunmetal packaging. I like the design – simple, but with an edge, definitely my aesthetic. Once you open the tube, you see the trademark Urban Decay purple. The packaging feels very sturdy and the lipstick itself is amazing. I actually wrote a review on this – you can read it here.

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Seduisante – I love the understated elegance of this one, plus the fact that it doesn’t open up like a normal lipstick. I remember when I first encountered a Rouge Allure lipstick (it was my friend’s, the shade was Pirate and we were at the restroom of the cable car place in Hong Kong haha) and it took me a few seconds to figure out how to open it. Basically you need to push the side with the logo and it will pop out LOL.Seduisante is a great MLBB shade that will suit most skin tones and the formula is very comfortable on the lips.

Estee Lauder Eyeshadow in Sugar Biscuit – I am a sucker for metallic packaging, if you can’t already tell and this one is so pretty as well! I love the gold, the EL logo in the front, the tiny mirror inside… basically everything about it including the eyeshadow. The shade is great to use all over the lid, and even as a highlighter!

Smashbox Full Exposure Mini – If you are in the market for a small, travel friendly eyeshadow palette, this one is for you. It’s super thin, about the size of a credit card and packs 8 neutral eyeshadows (4 matte, 4 shimmer/glitter shades). I love the mattes on this one!

Make Up Revolution I Heart Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette – This palette looks good enough to eat hahaha! It is inspired by the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette in terms of packaging, colorway and scent, but again at a fraction of the cost. It’s plastic, but not flimsy at all and has a huge mirror on the inside. The eyeshadows are really nice, very easy to blend (save for 2 very glittery ones, those are a bit difficult to work with).

Guerlain Boulevard du Montparnasse Eyeshadow Palette – Out of all my eyeshadow palettes, this one takes the cake for best artsy packaging! I love that it’s metal and quite different from most eyeshadow palettes. I don’t know how to explain it, so I am linking a detailed review from Temptalia so you can see how nice the packaging is! The eyesahdows are okay, although to be honest I don’t really see myself wearing pink eyeshadow, you know?

So that’s it! I know I shouldn’t be fooled by pretty packaging, but hey, there’s a reason why companies spend loads of money on product packaging research hahaha! Tell me – are you a sucker for product packaging too? I mean, I am not alone in this am I? AM I? What is your favorite product packaging? Share them below, I would love to check them out!
