You know how when somebody wakes you up and you don’t have any idea what is going on around you, and you cant make out most of what is being said? That happened to me last week when my mom woke me up. It was a Sunday, and I had every intention of sleeping in because I had a bit of a late Saturday night but my plans were foiled when Mom came in, woke me up and asked me if I could do my sister’s make up. As grumpy as I am in the morning, I couldn’t quite say no to my mom, could I? LOL.
We only had about 45 minutes to get ready so I had to wake up quick and start working. I curled her hair, created a soft half up-do hair style – that took about 30 minutes – and then did her make up for about 15 minutes. We made it just in time.
We went for something simple and age appropriate. I cleaned up and softly defined her brows and since the event was in the afternoon, I went with a simple defined crease and a natural looking eyeliner. A soft contour and highlight, a berry toned blush to get that fresh, young glow and for her lips, I used Niccolai’s favourite lipstick, Revlon’s Fuchsia Fusion. We skipped the lashes because she didn’t want to wear any – she thought it would be too much for an afternoon event with her schoolmates.
I thoroughly enjoyed this make up session. It was quick, easy and it turned out well, in my opinion. I love doing make up on Niccolai, she is such a trooper! The times I had her sit through my practice sessions has really trained her ha ha! She knows what to do and I do not have to direct her too much. Ha ha ha! So sorry for the less than stellar quality of the photos, these were taken using my phone, indoors. 😛
What do you think of the look? Tell me your thoughts!
