Since I started wearing make up, I don’t think I ever enjoyed using cream blushes or contours and highlighters. I always opted for powder products. These days, however, I find myself becoming more and more curious about cream products. It stared with the Benefit Watt’s Up, which was then followed by the Bench Paintbox cream blush, bronzer and highlighters. After that, let’s just say I found myself getting sucked into the rabbit hole of cream cheek products.
I’ve always heard great things about the NARS Multiples, so when I had the chance, I bought the NARS Matte Multiple in the shade Laos. Laos is a vibrant dark rose coral shade with a very smooth matte finish. It is VERY pigmented and intense that would look beautiful no matter what your skin tone is.
Very easy to apply, the key is putting on a little it, blending it out and then adding more if you want it to be more intense. It doesn’t sit awkwardly on the skin and blends quite easily. It sets in a few minutes, so you have a bit of play time before it’s locked in. I mostly use this for the cheeks, although you can definitely use this on your eyes and on the lips. I like that it is versatile, so the return on investment is A+ – which is great because it is a little pricey (PHP2,250.00 / $39.00).
The packaging is very simple and it’s in stick form so you can apply it directly from the tube. Be careful not to leave this in hot places though. Because it is in cream form, it is highly likely that it will melt! The packaging of my Laos Multiple is all messed up, it no longer has the matte overlay that NARS products are known for. Once it started to deteriorate, I just removed all of it. I couldn’t stand how it looked ha ha, blame my OCD for that!
If you want a good cream blush, or are simply curious, you can check the NARS Matte Multiple in Laos (and many other shades and finishes) at NARS stores and beauty stands.
