My MAC Lipstick Collection | www.NinaSinganon.com

For a time, I was quite the lipstick fiend. I would hoard lipsticks as there was no tomorrow. The bad lipstick hoarding habit only stopped when I took stock of what I had and realized I had more than 80 lipsticks. Imagine, 80!!! Who needs 80 lipsticks??? I have since given some away, although I think I still have about 50. Eep!

One of my favorite lipstick brands (actually, one of my favorite makeup brands) is MAC. They have such a varied and wide range that you can get anything you need (and maybe some that you don’t) from them! From skin products, to cheek products, to eyebrow stuff and finishing sprays – name it, they have it! My lipstick collection is fairly small compared to other beauty enthusiasts, but these are all shades that I absolutely love. I try not to go to their stores because I always end up walking away with more than I intended to get. Ha ha! I try to get mine online, but I have to admit that I am very lucky because most of these are given by friends and family. #ILoveMyEnablerFriendsandFamily

Mac Chatterbox Lickable Girl About Town
PINKS: Chatterbox – Girl About Town – Lickable

Chatterbox (Amplified) – My friend BB actually started my MAC lipstick addiction. She gave me my first tube a few years ago and it was in this shade. I have since repurchased it, but this shade started everything. A beautiful and versatile pink, I use this a lot on my clients. It is slightly on the cooler side but overall I think it is quite neutral. It’s very opaque and creamy.

Girl About Town (Amplified) – It took me a while to find this shade! My brother couldn’t find it in HK and it was never in stock in local MAC stores. I don’t actually remember how i got my hands on this – if I bought it or it was given to me – but it is a beautiful deep pink that you can wear everyday.

Lickable (Cremesheen) – Lickable is a bright, blue-based fuchsia lipstick. A friend gave me this for Christmas (along with Heroine – thanks BB) and I haven’t used it yet, but i think this will be a staple in my make up kit come summer time!

Mac Charistmatic Blankety
BROWNS: Charismatic – Blankety

Blankety (Amplified) – My mom purchased this for me. I was looking for “the perfect nude” and while perusing the lipsticks at the Duty Free MAC counter, she kindly offered to get this for me. Who am I to say no to a treat, right? :-) I find it a little too nude for my liking, it washes me out, but is great for layering with a “loud” color to tone it down.

Charismatic (Lustre) – A schoolmate-turned client-turned friend gave me this as a gift (hi LMA). She needed a make up artist for her retail store’s photoshoot, and I was happy to help. Charistmatic is a terracotta brown shade with subtle gold shimmers. Great to pair with an intense smokey eye.

Mac Morange Russian Red
REDS: Morange – Russian Red

Morange (Amplified) – One of my favorite colors is orange so I knew that I had to have Morange in my collection. MAC describes Morange as a loud mouth orange and it is exactly that! It’s quite an in-your-face color that I love to use in the summer.

Russian Red (Matte) – My sister purchased this, but sadly it didn’t work for her. She found the matte formula too drying, so she gave this to me (and in return took a red Sephora lipstick and Fuchsia Fusion from Revlon). This used to be my favorite red, until I tried Urban Decay’s F-Bomb. I still like it, but I don’t love the matte formulation.

Mac Lavender Whip Heroine Rebel
PURPLES: Lavender Whip – Heroine – Rebel

Lavender Whip (Cremesheen) – Lavender Whip was a part of the Baking Beauties collection. I attended their launching event in Alabang Town Center and obviously, I had to get my hands on at least one of the four lipsticks. It’s a pinkish lavender with a pearly finish. I haven’t used this at all since I got it, but it’s too pretty to throw or give away!

Heroine (Matte) – Ever since it came out (Reel Sexy collection), I have wanted to get my hands on this. It was limited edition for a while, but I think it is now part of their permanent line. This was also a gift from a friend (hi again BB) last Christmas. She said the reason why she got this for me was because it was a pretty color but not one that she would ever wear herself – so that means I would love it. Ha ha ha! She knows me so well. I haven’t used this yet, but I do know it is quite an opaque medium red toned purple.

Rebel (Satin) – Definitely one of my all-time favorite lipsticks, Rebel is what I reach for when I want to feel cool and badass (LOL). A friend got me this in one of her trips to HK along with a few other make up bits and bobs. It’s a beautiful deep berry lip color that is perfect for night events.

I love how lipstick can instantly change your look and the way you feel. It can make you look soft and sweet or fun and adventurous, even mysterious and daring in just a couple of swipes. I am happy that MAC has a wide range of colors for us to choose from, and I am actually planning on getting a few more – maybe Mehr, Velvet Teddy, Cyber, Diva, Peachstock and Kinda Sexy. How about you, do you have a favorite lipstick from MAC? Let me know, I’m always on the lookout for new stuff and I would love to check it out!

I have a serious hoarding problem!!! Hahaha! Always sold out ang Mehr ever since the 90’s trend/Kylie Jenner hype but I will hunt for it. I’ve been seeing photos of it and mukha ngang maganda!

  2. Oooh I love these type of posts! Gosh I feel you. I’m a lipstick hoarder too! I don’t even bother to count how many lip products I have because I’m sure madidisappoint lang ako sa sarili ko sa dami hahaha Lickable looks interesting! I’m not a big fan of hot pink lips but I might just give it a try some time!

Hahaha! Lipsticks are the easiest cosmetic to hoard kasi eh! 😛 Go give it a try – it would be great for the summer 😉

  3. I only have Freckletone from your collection and thats a bit too light for me so I pair it with a liner or another matte color. Looks pretty good after!

Nude shades are tricky – but yes, mix and match to other products that you have to make it work! :-)
