I love shopping online. I love how convenient it is – you can shop without ever having to leave the house, deal with traffic and engage in parking wars at the mall. The only thing I don’t really like about shopping online is the fact that you have to wait a while for your order to be delivered. This proves especially challenging for me when I buy beauty products and make up because I just want to start ohh-ing and ahh-ing over my beauty purchase. LOL! Sorry, I have Low EQ when it comes to these things!
But you know what, I found a store that not only carries many beauty brands – some even hard to find ones – they ship quickly too. BeautyMNL, by far, has the FASTEST shipping as far as beauty sites go. I’ve purchased from them multiple times before and almost all of my orders arrived within the next business day – with the exception of one because the delivery man came by our house the first time and nobody came out to get my package. Not his fault at all, I think the folks at home may not have heard him or was indisposed at the time – he came back the next day though!
A few days ago, I was killing time and found myself on the BeautyMNL website yet again. I remembered how one of my goals this year was to explore and try more natural, organic and locally made products so I looked through their website – which I should have known not to do because I ended up getting a lot things LOL. It’s just so hard to resist the call of new beauty products HAHA! Anyway, I picked up a few things from them – mostly from brands that I am not very familiar with but had great reviews.
3W Clinic Natural Make-Up Powder (DoDo Red Box) #10, Php320.00
The first thing I saw and put in my cart was the 3W Clinic Professional Natural Make Up Powder #10. I have been reading a lot of great reviews about this product on beauty groups and blogs so I just thought I’d give it a shot. The powder is very finely milled, which is great, but shade #10, which I believe is their brightening powder, has tiny glitter particles so I don’t think it will work as a setting powder. As a highlight powder though, it’s really nice. You can also put this on your collarbone and shoulder when you’re wearing an off-shoulder or sleeveless top for that extra mapangakit oomph LOL!
Dearberry Miss Mona Lisa Eyebrow Pencil – Coffee Brown, on sale at Php101.00
I’ve been meaning to try more Korean brow products, so when I saw that this was on sale, I couldn’t resist putting it in my cart. This has since been stolen by one of my sisters (hay nakooo) but this is really nice. The color is just right – not too cool and not too warm. It’s easy to blend, and I like that it comes with a spoolie/brush on the other end. Makes it so much more convenient than having to bring a separate one. This one I am definitely repurchasing (and hiding from my sisters/mom).
Beach Born Sea Salt Spray, Php180.00
My hair is flat, straight and does not hold curls very well. I have had the Bumble and Bumble Sea Salt Spray on my list of things to try, but it is quite pricey and I don’t really know if it will be worth the investment for me since I don’t curl my hair that often so when I saw the Beach Born Sea Salt Spray and read through the reviews, I thought hey, I’d give it a shot and see if it will work for me. I haven’t tried curling my hair yet with this, so I can’t tell if it holds curls well but I tried it the other day to see if it would give me volume and texture and it did, wheee!
Beauty Bakery Clarifying Witch Hazel Facial Mist, Php265.00
I’ve been getting more and more into facial mists, so when I saw this on the website, saw that it was 2016 BeautyMNL Beauty Awardee and read the great reviews this product received, I knew I had to try it. It has Witch Hazel and Tea Tree Extract which are very good for skin inflammations and fights bad bacteria so it’s great as a pick-me-upper throughout the day. It also has lemon extract which gives you that re-energizing feel. Definitely one to try!
Skin Genie Pit Perfect Whitening Deodorant Spray, Php250.00
As I said, I’ve been meaning to try more organic/natural products and I started with my deodorant because I want to veer away from using traditional/chemical-laden deodorants. I was looking through the list of organic underarm products on the site when I saw the Pit Perfect Whitening Deodorant Spray and although I was a little skeptical because it’s a spray/water, I took the plunge and you know what, I am so happy I did! I’ve been using this for the last week or so and I really like it so far! It doesn’t stain my clothes, it smells really nice and keeps me fresh throughout the day.
ZENUTRIENTS Cooling Tea Tree Deodorant Spray Lotion, Php208.00
I also wanted to try a more emollient deodorant for days when I know I will be sweating a lot. The Tea Tree Deo Spray Lotion from Zenutrients didn’t have a lot of reviews – 16 when I last checked – but all of them were good reviews, so I decided to give it a try as well. I haven’t used this yet because I’ve been testing the Skin Genie one, but I’ll let you know what I think of it when I’ve tested it properly. So far, it smells nice and it does have the cooling sensation that most people mentioned int the reviews.
Suesh Stainless Hands Free Ring Mixing Palette, on sale at Php261.00
As I was checking out, I saw the ring palette from Suesh. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left the house with foundation or eyeliner on my hands because I use it as a palette LOL – tell me I am not the only one?! I’ve been meaning to repurchase a stainless mixing palette because I lost mine at a gig, but when I saw this I thought maybe it will be better than a full mixing palette because I can wear it on my thumb and minimize the risk of leaving it somewhere.
Oh and because my purchases amounted to over Php1,500 (whoopsie), I received a free gift – a Cream Silk conditioner. I love FGWP (free gifts with purchase) so that was nice, and the product I received is useful so it won’t just go to waste.
BeautyMNL has definitely proven itself to me and has become one of my favorite online beauty stores. I love that they support independent brands and carry many natural/organic products. Not a lot of beauty shopping sites do, and it was nice to see that they give these indie brands an avenue to share their products and provide them with a wider reach of audience on a legitimate, beauty-only platform. I really like that.
They’ve also established a great community where beauty lovers can share their thoughts and review products. To me, that’s one of the best things about their website because you get real-life experience based reviews from a whole range of users – tweens, moms, yuppies, people with skin problems, people who love make up, people who do it professionally, etc. If you hate wasting money on products that you don’t know will work, this is key. You can read through the reviews and make an informed decision of whether to spend on a particular product, or skip it. Check out their review section Beauty By You – I ordered some NYX lipsticks the other day from them and wanted to see if it was worth the hype, and you can bet that I went in to that section to do my research LOL!
You can also check out their in-house magazine Bloom if you like all things beauty, but let me just tell you, browsing through their mag will make you want to get so many beauty things! I already added Dr. Bonner’s Liquid Soap and the Make Up Eraser to my list of things I want to try – ohhh dear!
So give BeautyMNL a go, and be impressed by their wide range of products and their super fast shipping. They guarantee next business day delivery for all orders within Metro Manila, and 5 to 7 days for other parts of the Philippines. HA you wont have to wait forever for your package to arrive, promise! #walangforever LOL 😉
