I have been getting more and more into Asian beauty products and I remember I shared a few weeks ago how much I liked the Etude House Bling Bling Eyestick that when I saw the Buy 3, Get 1 Free promoo on Althea, I thought it was the best time to stock up!
The reason why I went on the website in the first place was to see if there were any other shades of the Etude House Bling Bling Eyestick that would work well in my kit, and after much deliberation, I finally decided Gold Tail Star and Asteroid Star. Gold Tail Star is, as the name suggests, a very nice gold and Asteroid Star is a nice orange. Not the kind of orange that will make you look like you’re sick – it’s very pretty and acts as a really nice base for copper eyeshadows. I’ll definitely try and share swatches of these on Instagram soon.
And as you know with most online shopping experiences, you just find yourself clicking through other products, find yourself a pretty good deal and end up spending more than intended LOL. This time around, I picked up a Dark Brown Gel Eyeliner from Rire, which I am glad I did because it is REALLY NICE. I find myself using dark brown eyeliner a lot these days, so this is a welcome addition in my collection. Would you believe that I didn’t have a dark brown gel eyeliner? Yeah, I’ve always been more of a jet black liner kinda girl but I feel like with the kind of looks I like to do these days, brown is a better match. The color of this Rire Gel Eyeliner is beautiful and it doesn’t dry too fast so you have a bit of play time with it before it completely sets.
Then because I have been getting more and more into cushion compacts, I also picked up an empty cushion case for my all-time favorite MAC Face and Body Foundation. I like the cushion compact technology so I want to see if it will work well with my favorite foundation. I really wanted the black one, but it was not available so I settled for pink. I know, I know, I am not a huge pink fan, but since I already had a white and a mint green cushion, I wanted to get a different color. Along with the cushion case, I also got extra puffs and sponges.
Finally, as I was about to click on “check out”, I saw an ad for Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel Mist. I have been hearing a lot about the Aloe Vera Soothing Gel, but I am perfectly happy with my current skincare so I never picked it up – but when I saw the Gel Mist, I thought that that was something I could incorporate into my daily skincare routine. I love it for very hot days, and when I just need a skin pick-me-upper.
Now I just have to avoid any online shopping sites so I can be a more financially responsible adult (naks) especially now that we are in the BER months and Christmas is coming soon! It will be quite a challenge, for sure but I will try!
So hey, are you a fan of Asian beauty products too? What are your favorites? Do you have products on your must-try list? Do share them– I would love to check them out!
