Last January, I had the privilege of attending the Yeppunonie PH X Jay Park event. There were so many Korean beauty brands – some I’ve heard of and are familiar with and some I have never encountered before. Yeppunonie PH gave us a few KBeauty products to try and I got a few from Make Up Helper – the Green Tea Blossom Double Cushion, the All Day with Matt Lipstick (#006 Tuesday AM 9:00) and the All Day with Eyeshadow (#022). I have been using these for a few months now (except for the Cushion, that remains unopened haha because I still have a few I am trying to go through – I don’t want to be wasteful) and I am so excited to share with you my thoughts on these.
As I mentioned previously, I have not opened this yet because I don’t want to be wasteful and open multiple cushions all at the same time so I can’t really say much about the formula but the cushion case is absolutely beautiful! They have so many case/cover designs and honestly, I want to get more because the artwork is just stunning. I was at the event with 3 other awesome ladies – Katsy, CJ and Shayne – and we all got different designs.
I love that the cushion refill is separately packaged in a foil pack – that ensures that the cushion stays fresh and unopened until you are ready to use it. I love it when brands put extra effort in ensuring that the products they sell are clean, sanitized and safe to use.
I originally thought this was a nude-pink inside the venue hahaha! The lights deceived me – but it’s all good because I love pink lipsticks in all shapes and forms haha. I find that it is the easiest color to wear on the lips and it instantly makes you look fresh – so this is a welcome addition to my collection.
On the packaging, it says “weightless tinted matt lipstick that envelops its in vibrant color with long lasting and soft cashmere texture”. I am happy to say that they were true to their word – the formula is very light and soft, easy to blend, leaves a tint and lasts quite a while. Oh and I absolutely love the packaging! I like the design – very sailor-esqe – and feels very sturdy, not plastick-y at all. Love this and I want to get more shades – maybe a red or a nude.
This was a recommendation from the Make Up Helper brand manager, she said this particular shade is all the rage in Korea! Apparently, Rose Gold was huge early this year in Korean Beauty – not gonna lie, that wasn’t much of a surprise for me since Rose Gold/Copper everything (furniture, accessories, beauty, etc) was/is having a huge moment.
Shade #022 is pretty on the pan, but I find it’s not very pigmented when swatched – it is EXTREMELY glittery and shiny though. Don’t get me wrong, it is very pretty and very true to the Korean Beauty aesthetic, but I don’t think this is a “one-and-done” eyeshadow. It’s pretty to put on top of a more pigmented eyeshadow to give it a bit more dimension and interest, but on it’s own, I just find that it doesn’t have too much color. Great to have as a supplement, but again, not a one-and-done eyeshadow.
Make Up Helper is a very promising brand and I cannot wait to try more products from their brand. I want to try their blush, maybe a powder (the packaging for their powders are very pretty as well), and their eyebrow pencils. You can get your hands on these products and more Korean Beauty from Yeppunonie PH. Contact them via their Shop Instagram Account if you want to order. They also join bazaars often – follow their Main Instagram Account to be updated.
Special thanks Shayne for the hook-up – you are the best! <3
