Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki

I am a cheek product fiend. As of this writing, I have about 80 cheek products – that includes highlighters, bronzers, blushers and contour powders. I just love how changing the colour of the blush, intensifying the contour, OD-ing on highlighter or adding an overall bronze glow to the skin can transform a look! For the longest time, my favourite highlighter was the Wet N Wild bronzer in Acapulco Glow – which was a part of their bronzer series that they discontinued quite a while back. I hoarded Acapulco Glow when I heard that Wet N Wild was discontinuing it that at some point, I had 5 back ups. I was that crazy in love with it. LOL!

Fast forward to 2014 when a friend of mine (hi Jace) showed me his Hard Candy bronzer in Tiki. I remember, we were at a party and I commented how pretty his highlighter was. He was so excited to show me what it was and let me tell you – weeks after my first encounter with Tiki, I was still hunting for it online. I tried a lot of websites but they didn’t have Tiki! I was so frustrated because Tiki is such a beautiful highlight shade that I think suits most Filipinas. Good thing my boy bestie’s girlfriend at the time went to the US and she was not only able to get me Tiki, she found Tropics as well (thanks K!) I seriously don’t know how many times I have to say this but I have amazing friends who enable my make up addiction ha ha ha!

I love this bronzer/highlighter. It’s from Hard Candy’s baked bronzer series and I am going to say it again, it is BEAUTIFUL. Its gorgeous in the pan but even more so when it’s on the skin. It applies beautifully, the product is buttery soft  – ha ha i know most beauty bloggers hate using that to describe something but that’s the best way to describe it! It doesn’t leave an ugly oily film on top and unlike The Balm’s Mary Louminizer, the surface does not become rough and crater-like. I just absolutely love it and what’s more amazing is the price. I think this was only around $8.00! Just goes to prove that something need not be expensive to be amazing. This has definitely taken the top spot away from WNW Acapulco Glow – which is just as well because I am on my last Acapulco Glow ha ha ha!
The packaging is cute, but a little flimsy. A few months into using this, I noticed that the hook has started to crack but for the price, I can’t complain, right?

The only downside is that Hard Candy is not available here in the Philippines and it is SO hard to find online. The next time a friend of mine is going to or coming home from the US, I am definitely going to ask them to hoard this for me! *hint hint hi US friends hint hint* hihi!
