First Look: Hard Candy Fox in a Box Blushes

I’ve been wanting to try these Hard Candy Fox in a Box blushes for the longest time now. I first heard of the Hard Candy a few years ago and the brand has been on my radar since then.

My interest in the brand was reignited a few weeks ago when a friend of mine showed me his Hard Candy Baked Bronzer. It was love at first swipe so I tried to find it online, to no avail. But as they say when a door closes, a window opens and I saw these Fox in a Box blushes on sale. I immediately snatched up the 3 that were available.

L to R: Truth or Dare – Smooth Talker – Skinny Dipping

The Fox in a Box blushes are multicolour powder compacts. You can use each shade on it’s own or you can swish your brush to get a nice blend of colours. I got three colors – Truth or Dare which is a bronzing duo, Skinny Dipping also a bronzing duo and Smooth Talker which is blush quad.

It also comes with a pink bristle brush. It’s not the best, but its not too bad either. You can definitely use it in a pinch.

If I had to pick a favorite though, it’s definitely Skinny Dipping. I really like that the combination of the cool toned bronzer and the orange.

I haven’t had the chance to try these yet but I think I’ll feature this on a Face of the Day. 🙂 Just based off of my initial swatches, these are highly pigmented and the colours are beautiful.

Have you tried these before? What are your thoughts?

Anther thing you can do to enhance this pink blush is to apply Hard candy’s highlighting cream in living doll under it it will reflect much brighter with the added highlight but the color becomes much more vibrant and dramatic. I was planning on buying this for so long, since I finally got one shade darker and wanted to try bronzer.
