Elizabeth Arden is a brand that I have known since I was a little girl. I remember my mom having a bunch of Elizabeth Arden creams and perfumes in her bathroom (along with her other favourites Lancome, Estee Lauder and Chanel) and whenever I could, I would sneak in and play with her make up.
When I became old enough to buy my own make up, I never really considered buying from Elizabeth Arden, because in my mind, Elizabeth Arden (and my mom’s other favourite brands) were too expensive! I didn’t bother visiting their counters because I didn’t want to be disappointed. Fast forward to a few years ago, as I was waiting for my sister to finish shopping, I chanced upon an Elizabeth Arden counter. Curiosity got the best of me – I was thinking maybe I could just see what they had, how much they were, maybe my siblings and I could pool funds together for a gift for our mom, if I really liked something maybe I could save up for it, etc. I was quite surprised to find out that although they were a little pricey, they weren’t as pricey as I originally thought.
Green Tea Lotus Eau De Toilette ($29.50 to $39.50 on www.ElizabethArden.com)
I love the Green Tea fragrance range from Elizabeth Arden. I remember when I first got my hands on the original Green Tea scent a few years ago – it was love at first spray! Elizabeth Arden came out with a number of variations/versions of the Green Tea fragrances so I decided to try the Lotus variant this time around. Whenever I spray this perfume, I instantly feel calm, relaxed and refreshed. I just love the Green Tea range! I am thinking of getting the Green Tea Cucumber one next!
Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick in Wood Rose Cream, Mocha Shimmer and Pink Pink Shimmer ($20.00 each on www.ElizabethArden.com)
This was my dad’s pasalubong from one of his trips overseas. I think it was about two years ago now? Anyway, I really like these, but I am not a huge fan of shimmer shades so Mocha Shimmer and Pink Pink Shimmer are seldom used. Wood Rose Cream, however, is one of my favourite lipsticks!
Beautiful Color Radiance Blush in Blushing Pink and Sunblush ($26.50 each on www.ElizabethArden.com)
I first got the Blushing Pink, and fell in love! The packaging is tres chic, and the blush itself is so pretty and easy to apply. I purchased Sunblush a few months later, mostly because I was impressed with Blushing Pink and I loved the packaging. Both shades are very pretty and very versatile – I think it would suit a lot of skin tones (light skinned, morena, tanned skin – although I don’t think this will show up very much on dark skin tones).
I have a couple more items I want to try from Elizabeth Arden – I know their 8-hour cream is a cult favourite so I might try that one next!
