Lately, I find myself obsessing over skin care. I wasn’t really big on skincare before – sure, I like to do weekly pamper sessions where I do an exfoliating routine followed by a face mask of some sort and then loads of moisturizer, but i didn’t have a legit skincare regimen – mostly because I was lazy and I didn’t know where to start. I wanted to try Korean skincare because I heard so many amazing things about it, but just never knew what products to get (there are so many), how many steps of the 10-step skincare regimen I could do without (because honestly who has time for that haha), what combos to use, etc. Thankfully, the folks over at Althea came up with the Vitamin Box, a box filled with goodies infused with vitamins that our skin needs.
The boxes – there were two because the products wouldn’t fit into just one – came just a few days after I placed my order. I ordered on February 28, and my package arrived on the March 13, so it took them 9 business days to process and deliver my order. Pretty impressive considering the products came from overseas.
Althea’s Box #13, the Vitamin Box contained the following products:
Mizon Vita Lemon Calming Cream – The calming cream is enriched with Vitamin C, which recharges and stabilizes the skin.
Petite Oil Blossom Lip Mask – Rejuvenates dry, chapped lips overnight with it’s Vitamin E oil complex that forms a protective layer on the lips.
a;t Fox Gyoolpi Tea Fresh Mist – Fresh water infused with Vitamin C, the Tangerine peel extract recharges the skin to make it more healthy and youthful.
Gwa Il Na Ra Banana Body Cleanser – Rich in Vitamin B, the Banana extract and royal jelly gives life back to tired skin.
The SAEM MAX PERFECTION Firming Multi Cleanser – An oil-to-foam cleanser filled with Vitamin B and D, the truffle extract prevents dryness with naturally derived ingredients.
Holika Holika 3 Seconds Starter Vita Complex – To be used after shower, the Vitamin C provides a brightening and hydrating effect, giving you a brighter and clearer complexion.
Let Me Skin Ultra H20 Modeling Pack – A peel-off mask rich in Vitamin D and K that relaxes irritated, sensitive and troubled skin.
I haven’t tried these at length, so I can’t really provide you with an in depth review yet, but so far I am liking everything! All of the products (apart from the peel off mask ‘cos I have not opened it yet) smell amazing, especially the Mizon Vita Lemon Calming Cream and the Gyoolpi Tea Fresh Mist from a;t Fox. The packaging, as is the case with most Korean beauty products, is awesome! My siblings all want the giant capsule case of the Let Me Skin Ultra H20 Modeling Pack (LOL) they have even started a bidding war for it (we bid using food as our money hahaha! #fattiesforever).
The best part about the Althea Box is that you get 7 regular sized products with a value of Php6006.00 – all for the amazing price of Php1350! YES, you get 7 new products to try for just Php1350!!! The #WaisNaShoppingera (wise shopper) in me is very very pleased. It was eligible for free shipping too, winner diba?
The Althea Vitamin Box is no longer available (boohoo), but fret not. Althea releases 2 to 3 boxes a month filled with products that are specially curated by the folks at Althea. I was so gutted that I wasn’t able to get my hands on their previous Althea box (#12, the Anti Pollution box), but I am happy they came out with another skin-care themed box.
If you haven’t yet, sign up for an Althea account on their website and make sure you are set up to receive their emails so you won’t miss out on any of the amazing deals!
