A New Favorite Brow Product? A Closer Look at the Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose Palette

New Favorite Brow Product Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose PaletteI remember back in 2010 or was it 2011, I started filling in my brows. I was obviously a newbie then and there was this one instance where I tried filling in my brows with gray-black eyeshadow, and I felt so “on point”… that is until my then-boyfriend commented “O, anong nangyari sa kilay mo?” to which a friend replied “Di ko na nga pinansin eh!” and then we had a good laugh afterwards. Suffice it to say, I have gone from cartoon-looking brows (if you really want a visual, type in “brows gone wrong” on Google and you’ll have an idea of what it looked like) to a nicer, more polished looking pair (naks!)
New Favorite Brow Product Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose PaletteSince I started my “brow journey” (hahahahahaha, sorry I had to laugh, “brow journey” makes it sound so serious!!!), I have always been partial to using eyeshadows to fill in my brows. Even when people were going crazy over brow pencils, brow gels and brow mascaras, I was loyal to my Mac Brun/FS Cosmetics Ash Bronze. That is, until I saw the Fashion Brow palette from Maybelline.
New Favorite Brow Product Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose PaletteThe Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose Palette comes in two shades – Light Brown and Dark Brown. I chose Dark Brown because I had medium brown hair at the time, but it still works well if you have dark/black hair as I do now. It has a cream/gel product (the darkest out of the three) and 2 powder products which you can use to fill in your brows and contour your nose. It also comes with a dual ended brush – one side is a slanted brow brush and the other side looks like a mini eyeshadow brush. I normally throw away the freebie brushes, but this one isn’t so bad and would work well if you are in a pinch. I mean, I still prefer my favorite Marionnaud and Anastasia brow brushes, but this one is okay. The packaging is plastic and not that exciting, but I like that it is small enough to put in your to-go make up bag.

I actually really like this because it is pigmented, not difficult to blend and lasts a long time on your brows. What I do is line the bottom and the top of my brows with this and blend. I then use the darker powder to set most of my brow (except the starting point) and use the lighter powder for the starting point. This makes it look more natural and not too blocky. Both colors are cool-toned and does not leave your brow looking like an orange mess. As far as using it to contour the nose, I guess you could do that as well. I would suggest mixing both colors to get a more natural looking contour.
New Favorite Brow Product Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose PaletteI used this a lot during the summer and it held up very well in the insane Manila heat! I am impressed that you don’t need a lot of product, so the palette will last you a long time. All-in-all, I really like this product and at PHP299, it’s a steal. It’s easily accessible too, which is awesome – no need to hunt for this online, just visit your local Maybelline counter. It’s just kind of funny to me how they market this as a brow and nose contour product, but to be fair, you can use this to contour your nose. Just make sure you don’t end up with tiger stripes on your face hee hee!
